Advanced Digital Signature Management

The written form requirement, the related document-based processes and postal dispatch hampered consistent digitalisation in the past. As a result of the EU Regulation No 910/2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the European internal market (eIDAS) as well as the annulment of the Signature Act and the Signature Regulation dated 1 July 2016, it is possible for vendors, sales partners and consumers to provide electronic signatures.

The qualified electronic signature serves as evidence that an electronic document was issued by a legal or natural person and verifies the origin and integrity of a document.

The afb Fast Integration Business Service „Advanced Digital Signature Management” is employed wherever documents require signatures. It eases the burden of all stakeholders by maximally reducing paper documents and thus simplifying procedures.
