New consulting unit
Closer to customers
Munich-based afb Application Services AG has formed a Consulting unit to bundle its consulting services. The new department will be headed by Ingo Ohrt (43). Ohrt was previously employed by a leading consulting company in the SAP banking sector.
The new consulting offer equally targets new and existing afb customers. For existing customers, the focus will be on optimizing business processes and the use of IT. Prospective customers will be able to draw on afb-Consulting to evaluate the business advantages of the afb Credit Management Solution on a management level to safeguard future investments. In this preliminary analysis, the functions of the credit and leasing software are compared with the company"s requirements. afb experts provide process consultation and determine where adjustments are necessary and where interfaces need to be programmed. This provides the foundation for the subsequent definition phase.
"I am excited about the projects and the opportunity to play an active part in the establishment of afb-Consulting," comments Ingo Ohrt on joining afb. The senior consultant can draw on many years" experience in IT and process consultation. He worked as a functional architect for a large German leasing company, as a senior manager for SAP banking at Accenture and prior to this at IBM Business Consulting Solutions. The trained bank clerk started his IT career as a management consultant at dvg Kiel (now FinanzIT) and Fiducia.
"Consulting has always been a key component of the afb offer. The new unit allows us to combine our activities so that we can act even more in tune with the business requirements of financial service providers," says afb Managing Director Jan Ph. Wieners. This also includes numerous international initiatives.
