Business Case Analysis for Financial Service Providers
afb identifies potential for optimisation in credit and leasing processes
afb Application Services AG has expanded its range of consulting services. The company, which specialises in software for banks and leasing companies, now offers business case analysis as the most recent addition to its portfolio of consulting services. The goal is to create a business case that demonstrates the impact of process-optimising measures and use this as the basis for making future investment decisions.
afb performs business case analysis for all phases of the credit and leasing allocation process, from offer management and application filling to contract management. As part of the analysis, afb experts evaluate specific process steps and workflows in use in each department. This includes an evaluation of the degree of automation, adherence to the compliance guidelines, the quality of data and actions, as well as the level of satisfaction of those involved in the process.
Potential for optimisation identified in the business case analysis is specified in a business case. This forecasts an investment"s impact on business, taking into consideration the goals, benefits, options available, costs, time needed and risks. It contains an extensive analysis of how the switch from manual to automated processing can help reduce costs and what benefits that cannot be directly quantified are available. For instance, a faster credit application process leads to higher customer and dealer satisfaction.
"In business case analysis we can draw on close to 20 years of experience in IT process optimisation in the banking sector," states Jan Ph. Wieners, member of the board at afb Application Services AG. "Our clients also benefit in that the business case ultimately provides them with a solid foundation for making their investment decisions."
